Its a Type A, my TP-Link is in Wireless Router Mode. yes you're right, the BT Home Hub is still a router just with wireless turned off, and somethings are connected to it via cables (An IP camera and BT Whole Home wireless) but they have a different IP address format to the TP-Link - The BT hub is 192.168.1.xx and The TP-Link 192.168.0.xx.
